Terms of Service
Last updated: February 21, 2026
These are the rules of the road for using Crafta. We have tried to keep them fair, clear, and as human-readable as legal terms can be. If something does not make sense, ask us at legal@crafta.app.
1. Agreement
The gist
By using Crafta, you agree to these terms. Check back occasionally for updates.
By accessing or using Crafta ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We may update these terms as Crafta evolves. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. We encourage you to check back occasionally.
2. What Crafta Is
The gist
Crafta turns your ideas into working creations using AI. You describe what you want, we build it.
Crafta is a platform that lets you create software by describing it in plain language or voice. The Service uses AI to generate, host, and maintain creations on your behalf.
Creations you build can be published to a shared gallery where other people can discover and use them. The Service includes automatic maintenance, security scanning, and quality improvements for published creations.
3. Your Account
The gist
Keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Some features require an account. When you create one, provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, let us know immediately at legal@crafta.app.
4. What You Own
The gist
Your ideas are yours. The creations Crafta generates may share patterns with the platform, but your creative vision belongs to you.
You retain ownership of the ideas and descriptions you provide. The creations generated by Crafta are created using AI and may incorporate shared patterns, components, and techniques from the Crafta platform.
By publishing a creation to the gallery, you grant Crafta a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and promote your creation. You may unpublish your creation at any time, which revokes this license going forward.
Patterns and techniques from your creations may be used to improve future generation for all users.
5. Sparks & Payments
The gist
Brainstorming is free. Building costs Sparks, and you always see the price before you confirm.
Crafta uses an in-app currency called Sparks. You always see the Spark cost before confirming a build. No surprises. Brainstorming, describing ideas, and asking questions are free.
Spark purchases are processed by Stripe. All purchases are final unless required otherwise by applicable law. Unused Sparks do not expire.
If a build fails due to a platform error, Sparks are refunded automatically. Pricing and Spark costs may change with reasonable notice; changes apply only to future builds, not past purchases.
If Crafta launches revenue-sharing programs in the future, separate terms will apply.
6. What You Cannot Do
The gist
Do not build anything illegal, harmful, or deceptive. Do not try to break or abuse the platform. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
You may not use Crafta to create creations that are illegal, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, or that infringe on the rights of others. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the Service, circumvent security measures, or abuse the platform with automated systems.
Our Acceptable Use Policy has the complete list of prohibited content and behavior. We reserve the right to remove creations and suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Intellectual Property & Takedowns
The gist
We respect intellectual property. If someone copies your work on Crafta, let us know and we will deal with it.
Crafta respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other IP rights, contact us at legal@crafta.app with:
A description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed
The URL or location of the infringing content on Crafta
Your contact information and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
We will review all legitimate takedown requests and respond promptly. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
8. Account Termination & Your Data
The gist
You can leave anytime. We will delete your data. Published creations are handled per your preference.
You may delete your account at any time. When you do:
Your personal data is deleted
Unpublished creations and drafts are deleted immediately
Your deletion flow will show your published creations with the option to unpublish each one individually. Creations left published remain in the gallery with your attribution removed
Payment records are retained as required by tax law
We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible. If we terminate your account, we will explain why and give you the opportunity to download your data.
You can request an export of your data at any time by emailing privacy@crafta.app. We will provide it in a standard format within 30 days.
9. Disclaimers & Limitations
The gist
We do our best, but cannot guarantee perfection. Our liability is limited to what you have paid us.
Crafta is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated creations will work exactly as intended in every case.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crafta is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid to Crafta in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Resolving Disputes
The gist
If something goes wrong, let us try to fix it first. If we cannot, Washington state law applies, with mandatory arbitration.
If you have a dispute with Crafta, please contact us first at legal@crafta.app. Most issues can be resolved through a conversation. We will respond within 14 days and work with you in good faith.
If we cannot resolve it informally, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute not resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in King County, Washington. You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only. You waive the right to participate in any class action, class-wide arbitration, or representative proceeding.
Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
11. A Few More Things
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies
Our failure to enforce a right does not waive it
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Crafta
You may not transfer your account or rights under these terms without our consent
