Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: February 21, 2026
Crafta is a place where people build useful, creative, delightful creations. This policy exists to keep it that way. The short version: build things that help people, not things that hurt them.
1. The Golden Rule
The gist
Build things you would be proud to show your mom, your boss, or a reporter. If it feels wrong, it probably is.
Crafta is designed for building legitimate, useful creations. We want the gallery to be a place people trust. That means every builder shares responsibility for keeping the platform healthy.
2. What You Cannot Build
The gist
Nothing illegal, harmful, deceptive, or that exploits people. Here is the specific list.
You may not use Crafta to create creations that:
Violate any law or regulation in the jurisdictions where they are used or distributed
Contain or distribute malware, spyware, viruses, or any code designed to harm devices or steal data
Facilitate fraud, phishing, scams, or financial deception of any kind
Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate individuals or groups
Promote violence, terrorism, self-harm, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, or sexual orientation
Contain or distribute sexually explicit content or child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others
Impersonate other people, brands, or organizations in a misleading way
Collect personal information from users without clear disclosure and consent
Facilitate illegal gambling or violate gambling regulations
Sell or promote controlled substances, weapons, or other regulated goods in violation of applicable law
Generate deepfakes or synthetic media that impersonates real people without their consent
Create surveillance tools, stalkerware, or any software designed to secretly monitor individuals
Impersonate official government agencies, emergency services, or law enforcement
Build cryptocurrency scam tools, pump-and-dump schemes, or deceptive financial instruments
Create spam generators, automated messaging abuse tools, or bulk unsolicited outreach systems
3. Platform Behavior
The gist
Do not try to break, exploit, or game the platform.
You may not:
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Crafta platform
Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
Use automated systems (bots, scripts, scrapers) to abuse the platform or generate creations in bulk without permission
Manipulate gallery rankings, reviews, or discovery through fake accounts or artificial engagement
Abuse the Sparks system or referral program through fraudulent activity
Interfere with the service for other users or overload our systems intentionally
4. Enforcement
The gist
We review violations case by case. Minor issues get a warning. Major or repeated violations lead to creation removal or account suspension.
When we become aware of a potential violation, we will:
Review the content or behavior in context
Contact you to explain the issue and give you a chance to fix it, when appropriate
Take action proportional to the severity, from a warning to creation removal to account termination
For serious violations (illegal content, CSAM, malware, imminent harm), we may act immediately without prior notice and report to appropriate authorities.
5. Appeals
The gist
If you think we made a mistake, tell us. We will take another look.
If your creation is removed or your account is restricted, you can appeal by emailing legal@crafta.app. Include the creation or account in question and explain why you believe the action was incorrect.
We will review appeals within 14 days and respond with our decision. We take these seriously. We would rather fix a mistake than leave a good builder locked out.
6. Reporting Violations
If you encounter a creation or user that you believe violates this policy, please let us know at legal@crafta.app. Include as much detail as you can: the URL, what the issue is, and any screenshots if relevant.
Reports are reviewed by a human. We appreciate you helping keep Crafta a good place to build.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform grows and new situations arise. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
8. Contact Us
Questions about what is or is not allowed? Just ask.
